This vehicle was formerly owned by Clive
MacDonald-Smith as a breakdown truck in North Yorkshire. It has since
been sold on and is now owned by a French collector minus the sign
writing and with bargrip tyres and a drum winch fitted.(see
www.109tombraider.com). Clive rebuilt it in the 1980s, and used it for
a few years before treating it to a new chassis. The only change made
was to fit a truck cab rather than the hard top supplied new. It was
originally a demonstrator vehicle for Arnold Wilson's Land-Rover at
Leeds, before being sold on to a breakdown firm. It was built in
overall bronze green, but ended up two-tone blue and white before Clive
repainted it.
