ERX849K - This IIA 1-Ton is believed to be an ex Southern
Electricity
Board vehicle, as it was light green and registered new in Reading.
Affectionately nicknamed "Dougal", It is thought to have had an
hydraulic winch, as per "SEB", my own 1-Ton.
Its is currently a
bronze green full soft top and has been fitted with a Nissan 3.3 Litre
engine and Nissan Patrol Gearbox. It is
thought to have been a hard top when new. It has a Salisbury rear axle,
extra fuel tank and many modifications for use by the electricity
board.
This vehicle appears to be the first of
a batch running in numbers ERX849K - ERX857K, all the rest are no
longer on the road.
